So, updates on here have been a bit sparse lately, and I am here today to explain the reason why, as well as what is going to happen with CONTACT's future. Around two weeks ago, I finished my freshman year of community college, and am planning on transferring to a 4-year university this fall. Trying to balance a webcomic and coursework has been difficult, and I have been considering my schedule a great deal l during my free time. This has lead me to an unfortunate conclusion.

After the conclusion of chapter 3, I will no longer be continuing CONTACT.

This is not a decision I made lightly and has been something I have been considering for a long time. When I started college back in 2020, I began to lose the free time I had for comic work. This lead to both a drop in the comics quality and page frequency as I tried to find a balance between art and school. I found myself at the point where I was only able to produce one page a week at most, with the act of working on the comic becoming a chore. I attempted to hold out hope and keep pushing forward, thinking if I just got through this next exam, this next semester, I would find more time to work on CONTACT. But the end of the spring semester has made me face a harsh reality. I used to blame the online format school had taken as the reason for the inability to fully commit to CONTACT, but with school transitioning to fully in-person classes next semester, I realized the online format was likely the only reason I was able to continue with CONTACT in the first place. I know that attempting to continue the comic would likely negatively affect my school work and that the comic's quality would likely decrease. So rather than attempting to drag it out, I decided to give it at least a form of an ending.

This does not mean I'm not grateful. CONTACT has helped me grow SO MUCH as an artist, and seeing the comments on each page has gotten me through some of my worst days. If I were ever to continue CONTACT, I would likely start it over from the beginning to reflect my current skill and fix a few of the comics issues.
